Our Mission

Promoting locally grown, produced, and made items in an accessible, convenient place in Jena. We aim to educate the public on the uses and benefits of locally produced products, while encouraging a healthy lifestyle. In doing so we hope to nurture a stronger and healthier community.

Using seminars to bring awareness on the uses of products being sold or how to start a garden, our goals are beyond making a market place but to provide a fun, learning experience for the entire family.

FAQ

How do I become a Vendor?

We are glad you asked! We love having new people join us. We have 4 easy steps you must complete.

1.) Fill out an application

2.) Read and sign the Rules and Regulations Agreement

3.) Send to the adminstrators. Once we receive the above items we will review your applicatain and the item(s) that you would like to sale.  With in 2-3 business days we will send you a letter or email accepting or denying your application.

4.) Then the  day of the market you will need to pay the vendor fee.

All booths are granted on a "First Come, First Serve" basis

Why was I denied?

The reasons that your application was denied can vary from not completing the application, not meeting the requirements in the Rules and Regulations Agreement, or we are out of room. If you aren't sure why then please email us or call and we will be happy to talk to you.

Why is there a $5 or $10 fee?

Even though we are a non-profit organization we still have expenses. The fees go to help pay for banners, signage, and advertisements so no one person is out a large sum of money, as well as vendors state, city, and local taxes. We keep a small amount of money in the bank for any additional costs that may come up and for help with the Co-op Program but the rest is donated  back to the town.

Is the Town of Jena over the market?

No, while the Town of Jena is very supportive of us, we are managed and ran by a small group of citizens in the community.
